USTA Junior Team Tennis Nationals
In October, Shelby and her junior tennis team came back from Nationals in Surprise, Arizona. Shelby was the first wheelchair player to compete in this tournament. Shelby has been playing in the USTA Junior Team Tennis league since she was in the 6th grade, starting off with Rallyball, now called QuickStart. She continues her participation, and in May, her team won the 3.0 (18 and under) division sectionals which qualified them for the Nationals tournament in October. The team ended up as 16th in the nation and they won the banner competition. Read about her experience.
