2012 Cruyff Foundation Junior Masters entries

Shelby was invited to compete in the annual Cruyff Foundation Junior Masters in Tarbes, France. She was selected based on her performance in 2011. In late January, 2012, she will participate in a three-day, high performance camp, followed by a prestigious tournament against three other top junior girls.

USTA Junior Team Tennis Nationals

Shelby and her junior tennis team returned from the National Championships in Surprise, Arizona. Shelby was the first wheelchair player to compete in this tournament. Shelby has been playing USTA Junior Team Tennis since she was in the 6th grade.  In May, 2011, her team, Kilauea Junior Tennis, won the 3.0 (18 and under) division at the Sectional Championships in Hawaii and qualified for the National Championships tournament in October. Kilauea Junior Tennis finished 16th in the nation and won the banner competition. Read about her experience.
